When we have an issue or situation that we don’t appreciate, we suddenly have a choice available to us. We could choose to look at it from a new perspective and come into gratitude, or we can push it away, stomp our feet and say ‘no way’ to it.

Alternatively, we can do nothing, but that is still a choice. If we can somehow view the unwanted in a new light, we are choosing to be grateful. This brings us into a place where we can then negotiate, peacefully, instead of being at odds with whatever is going on. 
By choosing gratitude, we speed up the healing and transformation process, because we are not in a stand-off, using our energy to transform, rather than to do battle. This puts us more in the flow rather than trying to block the current. We cannot often control a situation or another person, but we can control our thoughts and attitudes. This is power-full.
Today I am grateful to know that I have a choice.
